Fly guidance · Reviewed:
Make the useful pages accessible
Check that your important public pages return successfully, can be crawled and are eligible for indexing. Link to them from your navigation and relevant pages. Keep private accounts and customer documents protected. A sitemap helps discovery, but does not guarantee indexing or rankings.
Answer the questions a buyer actually asks
Explain who the service suits, what is delivered, how scope affects price, what is excluded, what the client must prepare and what happens next. Put these answers in readable page text, not only inside images. Use specific examples and natural language rather than repeating keywords.
Provide evidence that belongs to your business
Show real work with permission and explain the problem, your contribution and the outcome. Support numerical results with a stated period and reliable evidence. Label illustrative concepts clearly. Consistent company details and genuine independent references help readers evaluate your credibility; fabricated reviews and invented results do not.
Separate search access from AI training
OpenAI identifies OAI-SearchBot as its search crawler and GPTBot as a separate crawler related to model training. Check the appropriate controls rather than treating every AI crawler as the same. Google says its AI search features use the usual SEO foundations and do not require a special AI file or schema. Allowing access does not guarantee a citation or recommendation.
Measure enquiries as well as discovery
Review Search Console visibility alongside consented analytics for landing pages, project starts and enquiries. Identify AI referrals where the referring source is available; these do not count every mention or citation. Track confirmed lead quality and paid work separately. Keep personal contact information out of analytics and label internal checks so they do not become evidence of customer demand.
Choose improvements before buying a promise
Ask for a concrete audit, named pages to improve, evidence needed, a measurement baseline and a review date. Nobody can control whether a search or AI system recommends a business. Fly can help define and implement a practical scope across website content, technical SEO and measurement; the next step is a review of your current site and business goals.
